HVAC maintenance starts with your equipment
Tell us what heats and cools your home and how many indoor and outdoor units you have. A ducted system, a ductless mini split and a boiler don't need the same care, and access to the equipment matters too.
If something is already not working right, say so when you book. That way it's treated as a repair, not just a routine tune-up.

What a heating and cooling tune-up can include
01 · What a visit covers
Depending on your equipment and the service you choose, a maintenance visit can cover filters, indoor and outdoor components, condensate drainage, controls and how the system is running. If you've noticed airflow or temperature issues, bring them up.
02 · What's separate
Ask what's included for your equipment and what counts as a separate repair. Ventilation equipment or other systems may need their own scope, and your service plan should make that clear.
Bring up anything that's been bothering you
Strange noises, water near the equipment, rooms that feel different or a system that just isn't acting like it used to. A maintenance visit is a good time to raise it, though no tune-up can guarantee against future breakdowns.

Discuss My Maintenance NeedsHVAC maintenance through the seasons
Massachusetts asks a lot of heating and cooling equipment. A simple seasonal rhythm keeps it ready.
- 01
Spring: cooling check
Before the first hot week, a cooling tune-up looks at the air conditioner or heat pump, the drain and the controls, so problems turn up before you need the AC.
- 02
Fall: heating check
Before the heating season, the furnace, boiler or heat pump gets its turn. It's the best time to catch an issue before a cold night does.
- 03
Heat pumps and mini splits
Because they heat and cool, heat pumps and ductless mini splits work year-round. Ask about service in both seasons, including the indoor units.
- 04
Between visits
Check your filter regularly and replace it when it's dirty. Keep the outdoor unit clear of leaves, snow and plants, and call if something sounds or smells different.
HVAC maintenance questions
How often should my equipment be serviced?
It depends on the manufacturer's guidance, how much you use the system and the conditions it runs in. Share your system details and we'll suggest a schedule.
Does maintenance include repairs?
Not automatically. We'll explain what the visit covers and quote any repairs we find separately.
Can I get maintenance for more than one system?
Yes. List the equipment and roughly how many systems you have, and we'll plan the visit around them.
