Request Heating Service

Describe the heating problem

Has the heat stopped completely? Is it running but never reaching the set temperature? Are a few rooms always cold? Tell us, and let us know if the problem is new, comes and goes, or keeps coming back after service.

If you know your equipment type, whether it's a furnace, boiler, heat pump or something else, include it. Model numbers and past service details help us confirm we can take on the heating repair.

Describe the heating problem

Furnace, boiler and heat pump repair starts with the whole system

01 · Controls and zoning

A cold house isn't always caused by one broken part. Controls, zoning and the way heat moves through the house can all play a role, so we figure out what's actually happening before talking about repair or replacement.

02 · More than one heat source

Have more than one heat source? Tell us how you run them. That's especially useful when a heat pump works alongside a furnace or boiler.

Know your options before buying new equipment

Repair and replacement are two different decisions. We'll explain what we found, what we recommend and whether replacement is worth a look. For bigger upgrades, see our furnace installation, radiant heat and boiler and heat pump pages.

The free in-home estimate is for new installations. Repair and diagnostic visits have their own terms, so ask when you book.

Discuss My Heating Problem

Common heating problems and what to note before you call

A short description of what's happening helps us bring the right questions, and sometimes the right parts, to the visit.

  1. 01

    No heat at all

Check whether the thermostat display is on and note any error code or blinking light on the equipment. Let us know what type of system you have, if you know it.

  2. 02

    Heat, but not enough

Tell us which rooms or floors are cold and whether it's new or has always been that way. With radiators or baseboard, note whether one zone is cold while others are fine.

  3. 03

    Short cycling or strange noises

Heating that turns on and off often, or banging, whistling or rumbling that wasn't there before, is worth noting. So is how long it's been going on.

  4. 04

    If you smell gas

Don't wait for a service visit. Leave the house and call your gas company or 911 from outside. Once it's safe, we can look at the equipment.
